Gilbert Summer Wedding - Joseph & Moriah Leech

Just playing catch up on some blogging, and I couldn’t skip over Joseph & Moriah’s wedding day! Their wedding was the first one I photographed after the world shut down and we were in the midst of a global pandemic. I won’t lie, when I was making the drive from Newberry to Gilbert, I was NERVOUS. I hadn’t photographed a wedding in over 3 months and was feeling a little rusty. Once I got to the church, the nerves melted away, and I was ready to photograph their intimate day.

Their ceremony was held in their church in front of a few dozen friends and family. One of my favorite parts about their ceremony was that instead of doing a unity candle or communion, they made a PB&J sandwich. He’s the peanut butter to her jelly, and they are the perfect pair.

Moriah and Joseph each had one close friend to stand by their side - Moriah had a dear friend, Jonathan, be her Man of Honor, and Joseph had his lifelong friend, Sarah, to be his Best Lady.

After the ceremony and a few family portraits, I stole the bride and groom, and we went to take a few pictures of just them. I always enjoy this time because these are the photos that they’ll hang on their walls, use for gifts, and cherish forever.

Sweet Jessie even came for a few pictures * heart eyes *

This overgrown field was right next to the church. Talk about a photographer’s dream.

They chose to do a first dance as Mr. & Mrs. and then a small dessert reception. Sweet and simple, just like them.

If you’re a bride or groom and are getting married during the daytime, may I suggestion bubbles for your exit? I LOVE them, and they photograph so well!

Joseph & Moriah, thank you so much for letting me photograph your wedding! I appreciate y’all trusting me with these sweet memories. Covid-19 may have ruined a lot of things in 2020, but it couldn’t ruin y’all’s wedding day.
