Mr. & Mrs. Gilseth - Wedding at The Farm at Ridgeway

When having an outdoor wedding, there's always the gamble of rain. Even though some say it's good luck for it to rain on your wedding day, I'm thankful that there was hardly a cloud in the sky on Kyle and Taylor's day.

When Kyle and Taylor reached out to me last year about capturing their wedding, I was ecstatic! It was giving me the opportunity to photograph my first wedding at The Farm at Ridgeway, which is a very popular wedding venue in South Carolina, and it was giving me another opportunity to capture and document a marriage ceremony.

Kyle and Taylor actually met while working at Chick-fil-A. Kyle would frequently ask Taylor to go out on dates with him but she always thought he was joking. One day, she took the leap and said yes, and it's been history ever since. When they started their dating journey, I was also working with them at Chick-fil-A, and it's been so neat to watch them love and pursue each other during all the curveballs life has thrown at them - moving cities, finishing college, job changes, and even Taylor's dad becoming ill. Their love for each other is apparent and resembles Christ's love for us. After months of preparation, 11 to be exact, their day had finally arrived.

When I arrive to the venue, I always check in with the bride and groom (if he's arrived), and then I like to walk around and scout out some wonderful shooting spots. The Farm at Ridgeway is a stunning venue, nestled beyond the backroads of small-town Ridgeway. The day was full of lovely moments including Taylor having a first look with her dad, Kyle and Taylor exchanging and reading notes that they wrote for each other, a classic Carolina sunset which made for stunning bridal portraits, loads of fun dancing, and a sparkler send-off. The whole time I was photographing, I was blown away by all the attention to detail. Every moment of their wedding was stunning, and well...their cake was delicious (if you know me well, you know I love all things cake.)

Kyle & Taylor, from the bottom of my heart I say thank you. Thank you for trusting me to capture all the moments that will fade over time and to provide images that you, your kids, and grandkids will cherish. I pray that y'all will forever love and pursue each other.

Xoxo,

Tori

Also, special thanks to my second shooter, Carly Kimpland. I appreciate you more than you know!
