Small Town Engagement Session - Jason Mohn & Shelby Mueller
When Cole and I moved to Newberry, it took a little while for it to feel like home. Now, I can’t imagine us not living here. Today, I’m sharing Jason & Shelby’s engagement session that we did right in the heart of Newberry. I love this town and I want to share it with everyone! Whenever my clients are unsure of a location, I quickly suggest Newberry, not because it’s a short drive for me, but because it’s beautiful and has a lot to offer.
Jason & Shelby have been together for FOREVER. Cole went to school with both of them and even though I had only met them a handful of times, I was honored and super excited when Shelby reached out to me when they got engaged.
Are they not the cutest!? Also, zero complaints about not having to edit a single car out of this street shot. Perks of shooting in a small town.
After shooting in the downtown square, we headed to The Farm to finish out their session. Gosh, I LOVE this land, the light, their love; I love it all!
Most photographers avoid sunflares at all costs. Me on the other hand, I’m trying to find them.
I always encourage my couples to do an engagement session. One, I get to spend the evening with them, getting to know them better and learning little things about them. Two, they get to spend the evening with me and learn my quirks and get to be more comfortable in front of the camera. And lastly, they get professional photos done that are more casual than wedding day photos. I’m an all-around huge fan of engagement sessions!
