Winter Wedding in Downtown Columbia - Joey & Lauren Steyne

Guys, this was one of my favorite days. My little brother and his best friend, who is also one of my best friends, got married!! If you follow me on social media, I’m sure these faces are familiar. I am so excited to share this blog post with y’all!

I went with Lauren to pick out her dress at Evelyn’s Bridal. She wanted something that felt magical like Christmas but was also classic. She was stuck choosing between 2 dresses, but I definitely think she went with the best one. It fit her so perfectly, and she looked like a Christmas princess!

Believe me when I say this cake was incredible. One layer was sweet potato cake (kind of like a spice cake) and the other was a fresh key lime flavor. The best of both worlds for all tastes. Thanks, Bonnie Brunt Cakes!

*cue the tears* I can’t believe I was able to photograph this wedding amidst all of the emotions. Joey & Lauren are two of my favorite people in the world.

Joey and Lauren wanted to have a church wedding, so I quickly suggested Church of the Apostles because it’s a beautiful church. White ceilings + dark wood accents + a brick floor = a photographer’s dream. I’m so happy they chose the church for their ceremony! It’s such a modern, yet traditional space.

Ella loves her Uncle JoJo.

Here’s the part where I started crying.

Joey and Lauren’s ceremony was worship-filled as they took communion together to “hallelujah Here Below” by Elevation Worship.

I know Lauren’s a sucker for light flares so I tried to capture some in these photos.

I am here for these pre-planned, super fun father-daughter dances.

Their dance floor was lit! Cameron with Big Time Entertainment always does a great job.

While everyone got ready for the exit, Joey & Lauren danced to one last song by themselves. It was one of the sweetest moments of their entire day.

And one of my favorite touches about this winter wedding was their snow exit! I mean, who does that?

Joey & Lauren, you know I love y’all! Thanks for being the best and letting me photograph y’all’s wedding day. I have loved getting to watch y’all go from friends in high school to high school sweethearts to now being husband and wife. I pray all the best for y’all!

P.S. thanks for being my friends.
